Screenwriter-lyricist Javed Akhtar arrived in Mumbai 61 years ago, at the age of 19. While speaking about his early journey, he said, "Went through homelessness, starvation, unemployment, but when I look at grand total, I feel life's been too kind to me." He added, "For that I can't help but thank Mumbai...and those who looked at [my] work kindly."
