Japan has set a new record with nearly 1 lakh people aged 100 or older, 88% of whom are women, country's health ministry said. This marks the 55th consecutive year of record growth, with the oldest person being a 114-year-old woman. Japan's low obesity rates have been cited as a major factor for its higher life expectancy, as per reports.
