NASA’' New Horizons spacecraft has identified 11,000-foot ice mountains on Pluto's moon Nix. The mountains, composed of pure ice, remain solid like rock due to the extreme cold. Scientists estimate the formations to be around 100 million years old, contrasting with the reflective surface of Hydra, which is another moon of Pluto. The discovery was captured from 37,000 miles away.
