Former India cricketer Saba Karim criticised Rishabh Pant's high-risk shot which led to his dismissal on Day 3 of Guwahati Test, saying, "You can't make any sense out of this." He noted that as stand-in captain, Pant needed to take responsibility. Karim added that Pant should have led the team "by absorbing pressure and taking blows".
