A senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Andhra Pradesh, Siddharth Kaushal, announced his voluntary resignation after 13 years of service. Denying reports of "harassment or external pressure", Kaushal clarified that he took the decision "purely on personal grounds after deep personal reflection". Kaushal joined the IPS in 2012 and was serving as Inspector General (Law & Order).
