Ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, JD(U) has expelled 16 leaders, including sitting MLA Narendra Niraj alias Gopal Mandal, for "anti-party activities". Mandal had staged a protest near CM Nitish Kumar's house upon learning about the expulsion and later filed his nomination as an Independent from Gopalpur, the constituency he currently represents. Bihar will head to polls on November 6, 11.
