During the cabinet meeting, the Maharashtra government approved a proposal to set up an economic welfare corporation for the state's Jain community. The government also decided to set up financial development corporations for Bari, Teli, Hindu Khatik, and Lonari communities, which are part of the OBC segment. Grants of up to ₹10 lakh were approved for Buddhist community's institutions.
