The Madras High Court recently quashed criminal proceedings against a 21-year-old man after his 19-year-old girlfriend alleged he kissed and hugged her at a secluded place in November 2022. "It's quite natural for two persons in the teenage, who are having a love affair to hug or kiss each other. By no stretch, this can constitute an offence," HC said.
