Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, commenting on his contract extension with the team, said, "It's not like it was a no-brainer looking at the performance at the start of the year." He added, "I'm feeling in a much better place than I was when I arrived. I think [the contract extension] can only be positive for everyone on the team."
