During President Putin's visit, India is expected to discuss acquiring Russia's S-500 Prometheus, a next-gen air and space defence system. The S-500 offers 600 km range, near-space interception up to 200 km, and hit-to-kill capability against ballistic missiles, hypersonic threats and even low-orbit satellites. Its rapid, multi-target tracking makes it one of few operational ASAT-capable systems.
