Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, while addressing the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Conference, said the industry makes a "fuss" over imports and that it's a weakness and puts them in poor light. "How can 2-3% imports hurt...domestic...demand and pricing?" he asked. "It can't be that we want open markets everywhere, but this industry leaves out when we open...the Indian market," he added.
