Congress MP Rahul Gandhi accused Election Commission (EC) of not giving information asked by Karnataka CID regarding alleged 'vote chori (theft)' in Karnataka. Gandhi had alleged that someone tried to delete 6,018 votes in state's Aland constituency during 2023 assembly polls. Earlier, Gandhi said that EC is an "election watchman" who "stayed awake, watched the theft, and protected the thieves".
