Spotify's founder Daniel Ek will be stepping down from his role as CEO and become executive chairman of the company on January 1, 2026. Gustav Söderström and Alex Norström will be replacing Ek as co-CEOs. Ek said, "I've turned over large part of day-to-day management and strategic direction to Alex and Gustav, who've shaped the company from our earliest days."
