US President Donald Trump has threatened to sue BBC for $1 billion over doctoring his speech before 2021 US Capitol riots in a Panorama documentary. In a letter, Trump's lawyers said BBC must retract the documentary, apologise and "appropriately compensate" the President "for the harm caused". BBC's top news executives resigned on Monday and the organisation issued a public apology.
