The NGT has sought a response from the chief commissioner of civic body BBMP and other officials on a Lokayukta report on Vibhutipura and Doddanekundi lakes in Bengaluru. The report stated that the lakes' water levels were alarmingly low, even during the rainy season, due to a blocked outflow path. Further, encroachments and misuse of facilities were also noted.
