The government is set to launch 'Bharat Taxi', developed under the Ministry of Cooperation and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). The service will allow drivers, called 'Saarthis', to be co-owners and earn 100 per cent of fares. With transparent, affordable pricing and no surge fees, the service aims to enhance the commuter experience. A pilot rollout is planned for November.
