A total of three youths were arrested in a ₹1.9 crore fake scholarship document scam at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru. They used to insert old students' names in scholarship documents of students who wanted to pursue research abroad and then divert money to accounts of their friends. Gold jewellery worth ₹15 lakh, among others, was seized from them.
