A controversy erupted after a player who never kept wickets was picked as a wicketkeeper in Delhi's Vinoo Mankad Trophy squad. The player was picked on the insistence of a senior Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) official. DDCA President Rohan Jaitley ordered the player's removal from the squad and approved the inclusion of a genuine wicketkeeper in his place.
