Following the loss of life and destruction of property due to heavy rains in North Bengal, the BJP has trained its guns on CM Mamata Banerjee. "When 28 people died...Mamata Banerjee was dancing in Kolkata—celebrating at a tax-funded carnival while her state mourned," said BJP's Amit Malviya. Banerjee had attended the Durga Puja carnival in Kolkata on October 5.
