A Chief Vigilance Officer of Hindustan Copper Limited was killed after an underground lift collapsed at a Rajasthan copper mine on Tuesday night. Upendra Pandey was part of a vigilance team from Kolkata inspecting the Kolihan mine when the lift crashed. Earlier, 14 trapped people were rescued. A doctor said some people suffered fractures in their hands and legs.
