The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced a complete ban on meat sales and animal slaughter on November 25 in observance of Sadhu Vaswani Jayanti. The day is also designated as International Meatless Day to honour Vaswani's advocacy for a vegetarian lifestyle. The UP government in 2023 declared the day 'No non-veg day' in his honour.
