The BJP has distanced itself from the statements made by its MPs Nishikant Dubey and Dinesh Sharma on the Supreme Court. "These are their personal remarks...The party outrightly rejects them," BJP President JP Nadda tweeted. Dubey alleged that the Supreme Court is responsible for "inciting religious wars", saying Parliament should be closed down if the court has to make laws.
