HSBC's Chief India Economist Pranjul Bhandari said the recent fall in the Indian rupee against the US dollar is the "perfect medicine" for the problem of elevated tariffs. "Tariffs make your exports uncompetitive, and...currency depreciating counters that," she stated. "Exports of both goods and services react positively to currency depreciation," she added.
