Gold coins and bars saw a robust demand during Dhanteras on Saturday, India Bullion and Jewellers Association Secretary Surendra Mehta said. The demand for gold jewellery fell nearly 30% from last year amid record-high prices of the precious metal. Overall, gold sales volumes during the auspicious day were down 10-15% YoY, said All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council.
