Gold prices surged by ₹3,200 to touch a new lifetime high of ₹1,34,800 per 10 grams in Delhi on Friday, a day ahead of Dhanteras, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.9% purity had ended at ₹1,31,600 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices tumbled by ₹7,000 to trade at ₹1,77,000 per kilogram.
