Nepal has been getting its currency notes printed in China instead of India since 2016, as India has been unwilling to print them. India's objection is over Nepal's new currency notes that display the disputed regions of Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani as part of Nepal. Some of Nepal's currency continued to be printed in India until 2023.
