Several candidates accepted for the PM Internship Scheme backed out at the last minute in the first week of companies extending offers under the scheme in November, ET reported. Some candidates who backed out cited reasons including applying for the scheme under pressure from parents. However, acceptance has since risen from about a third to about two-thirds of the offers.
