Su filindeu, considered one of the rarest pasta in the world, is made in Italy's Sardinia. The pasta is made by pulling and folding semolina dough into 256 even strands, which are then stretched diagonally across on a circular frame in a three-layer pattern. For 300 years, only one family's women in Sardinia reportedly knew how to make su filindeu.
