RBI has announced final redemption of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) under 2017-18 Series IV, issued on October 23, 2017. The redemption has been permitted on October 23, 2025, and the price has been fixed at ₹12,704 per unit, which is a 325.3% gain over issue price of ₹2,987. This doesn't include 2.5% annual interest income earned during the holding period.
