Pontoon bridges, made of large, hollow iron containers, have been constructed at Mahakumbh in UP's Prayagraj to connect Triveni Sangam and Akhada areas. Due to their costly maintenance, these bridges would be dismantled after Mahakumbh. Some of them would be kept in Sarainayat (Kanihar), Trivenipuram and Parade Ground, Prayagraj and can be reused in Ardh Kumbh.
