Keyboards for computers and on mobiles don't follow the alphabetical order of ABC and instead have the QWERTY layout, which Christopher Latham Sholes designed during the typewriter era. Sholes did so after typists found that typing quickly caused key clashes and jams when keyboards followed the alphabetical order. Therefore, he reorganised the letters to separate commonly used letter pairings.
