Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) refuted that a large number of CCTV cameras in the metro network are non-functional. This follows RTI data, which revealed that 300-500 cameras inside trains were non-functional each year between 2020 and 2024. This means only 1-2 cameras were non-functional every day (due to maintenance) out of a pool of 24,000, DMRC said.
