Why does sunset on Mars look blue?
short by Swati Dubey / on 20 Sep 2025,Saturday
Sunsets on Mars appear blue because of its dusty and thin atmosphere. The fine dust grains in its atmosphere let blue light pass through more efficiently than longer wavelengths like red or yellow. As a result, the region near the Sun glows bluish at dusk, while the rest of the sky remains tinted yellow to orange.
