Gisèle Pelicot, the 72-year-old woman who publicly testified over mass rapes she endured between July 2011 and October 2020, has been awarded 'Knight of the Legion of Honour', which is France's top civic honour. Pelicot was drugged into unconsciousness by her husband Dominique, who then organised for dozens of strangers to rape her, and took photographs, videos of the crime.
