Formula One requires circuits to be of Grade 1 standard, with tracks between 3.5km and 7km long, no straights over 2km, and a minimum width of 12m. The grid must be at least 15m wide, with the start line placed "preferably" 250m from the first corner. The pitlane should be at least 12m wide and positioned alongside the start-finish straight.
