TMC MP Mahua Moitra has challenged the Election Commission of India's (ECI) June 24 directive for a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, ahead of polls this year. The petition said the move violates multiple constitutional provisions and may lead to disenfranchisement of lakhs of voters. It asked SC to restrain ECI from issuing similar orders.
