A man, Takuya Higashimoto, was arrested in Japan for allegedly exploiting loopholes in Demae-can food app to get free food worth 3.7 million yen (₹21 lakh). Higashimoto, who had been unemployed, selected contactless delivery while placing an order and later claimed the food had not arrived, reports said. He made 124 accounts since April 2023.
