The US Federal Reserve (Fed) on Wednesday announced its second interest rate cut of 2025, lowering its benchmark rate by 25 bps. The rates now stand at 3.75%-4%. The Fed had cut interest rates last month for the first time since December 2024. It also announced that it would end the reduction of its asset holdings on December 1.
