The protesting farmers have called for a Kisan Mahapanchayat at Khanauri border on January 4. Farmers from various states are expected to participate in the the event. The steps come as the Supreme Court criticised the Punjab government for not hospitalising farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on hunger strike for 33 days.
