Elipe Siva Nagu, a 34-year-old Indian national working at Singapore’s Raffles Hospital, was sentenced to a year and two months' jail and two strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to molesting a male visitor in June. He claimed he was “disinfecting” the victim. The incident left the victim with flashbacks. Nagu was suspended from his duties following the offence.
