Average water stock in the seven lakes that supply drinking water to Mumbai dipped to 11.77% (1.7 lakh million litres) on Thursday morning, significantly lower than 22.66% recorded one month ago, on May 5. At full capacity, the lakes can hold 14.5 lakh million litres of water. On Wednesday, the lake levels were recorded at 12.14% (1.75 lakh million litres).
