A Guinness World Record for the largest display of oil lamps with 25,12,585 lamps was achieved on Diwali eve in Ayodhya. Nischal Barul, a consultant for the Guinness World Records team, explained that initially, the unlit diyas are counted. Then, as the diyas are lit, they are counted digitally using software applications. Finally, drones are employed for an aerial count.
