All-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin retired from international cricket on Wednesday. Ashwin is the second Indian after Anil Kumble to have taken 500-plus Test wickets. He retired after drawn third Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 with his final wicket being a Mitchell (Marsh). Notably, Kumble also retired after drawn third Test of BGT 2008 with his final wicket being a Mitchell (Johnson).
