Several ChatGPT users took to X on Thursday to share screenshots of the 'Bad gateway' error message displayed by ChatGPT during the OpenAI-run AI chatbot's outage. However, many unknowingly posted the screenshot without hiding their IP address. IP addresses can be used to learn about a person's device, the network they are connected to, as well as their exact location.
