After a video of suspected suicide bomber Umar Nabi surfaced online, calling suicide bombing a "martyrdom operation" that is "known in Islam", Congress MP Imran Masood termed Nabi a "misguided youth". "Martyrdom is part of Islam, but he should learn...norms of martyrdom. Suicide isn't permitted in Islam; killing innocent people isn't martyrdom," Masood added. He faced criticism over the remarks.
