Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs clarified that a 5% GST without input tax credit (ITC) will be applicable on beauty and physical well-being services from September 22, 2025. "Service providers don't have option to charge 18% with ITC on these services," it added. A ₹1,180 gym fee should cost ₹1,050, provided the service provider passes on the benefit.
