Maoists have declared a temporary suspension of the armed struggle to facilitate peace talks with the Centre, PTI reported, citing banned CPI (Maoist) spokesperson's purported note. The note reportedly urged Centre to declare a one-month ceasefire so they can consult their "comrades". Earlier, Union Minister Amit Shah announced a mission to eradicate Naxalism from India by March 31, 2026.
