The Supreme Court on Monday refused blanket ban on construction in Delhi and the National Capital Region despite air pollution. The court said instead of temporary solutions, the Centre should formulate long-term solutions to tackle the issue of pollution. It added many families depend on construction for livelihood and a blanket ban will have severe socio-economic consequences.
