At least 27 crypto exchanges like WazirX allegedly helped criminals move stolen money, an Indian Express report said. From January 2024-September 2025, about ₹623.63 crore, taken from nearly 2,872 victims, reportedly passed through these platforms. Officials said victims invested via fake trading apps, unaware that their funds were converted into digital assets and layered across multiple wallets.
