Filmmaker Karan Johar, during interview with Komal Nahta, answered if his company Dharma Productions was in jeopardy before selling 50% stake to Serum Institute of India's Adar Poonawalla in a ₹1000-crore deal. "It's not like our company was getting shut...We would've been continuously profitable," said Johar. "We did this deal only for growth...We were a zero debt company," he added.
